How to Play Space Hunter: Battle for the Galaxy
Your mission is simple: Clear sectors. Each sector has 5 waves—4 regular, 1 boss fight with two phases. Survive. Upgrade. Push deeper into the galaxy.
Core Combat Loop
Move with WASD or arrows. Hold Space to shoot. Press Q for Super Strike—a rain of golden shells that shreds everything. Kill fast. Every 5 kills stacks your combo multiplier. Higher combo = more points. Collect stars (✦) from dead enemies. That's your currency.
Upgrade Strategy
After waves 2 and 4, the shop opens. Spend stars on 10 upgrade branches. Early sectors? Dump everything into damage for speed clears. Late sectors? Invest in survivability—health, shields, regen. Wrong build = instant death at Sector 7.
Power-Ups & Boss Tactics
Grab battlefield drops: shield, magnet, weapon boost, healing, nuclear strike. Bosses always drop a full set. Learn boss patterns in the built-in wiki. All 12 bosses have unique attacks. Phase 2 is always harder. Use Super Strike when they're vulnerable.
Unlock Abilities
Progress unlocks game-changers: auto-shield, multi-shell, super-strike boost. Chase 28 achievements. Level up your account. Switch between 5 weapons as you unlock them.
